Why discerning clients choose CM Pros
Clarity from day one
We translate your goals into a phased plan, with selections, allowances, and dependencies outlined upfront — no guesswork.
Client-in-control approvals
Every key choice is presented simply with drawings or samples, and every change is itemized and approved by you before work continues.
Calm, organized build sites
We set site rules for protection, cleanliness, and consideration of neighbors. Expect dust containment, floor protection, and thoughtful sequencing to minimize disruptions to your routines.
Proactive communication
Receive a steady cadence update (weekly at minimum): progress, upcoming decisions, and what’s next. Milestone walk-throughs help you see work before it’s covered.
Lasting craftsmanship
We care about what’s behind the walls as much as what you see — structure, systems, and envelope details that perform for years.
Post-handover care
We schedule 6- and 12-month check-ins to fine-tune anything that settles with time.
Our process: simple, thorough, predictable
1. Discovery & Feasibility
We listen first — how you live, what must change, what must stay. We assess structure, utilities, and code considerations, then outline feasible approaches and a realistic phasing plan.
2. Design Agreement
This is a paid service. Working with your architect/designer (or our vetted partners), we align drawings, engineering, and selections. The goal is fewer surprises later: detailed scopes and clear allowances before demo.
3. Permitting & Plan Review (Lehi)
We assemble submittals and apply through Lehi’s Building & Inspections portal. For common scopes like basement finishes or additions, we follow the city’s applicable checklists and coordinate inspection sequencing so milestones don’t stall. You’ll see exactly what’s submitted and where things stand.
4. Construction, Protection & Cadence
We establish containment, filtration, and protection pathways. Your superintendent provides a consistent update rhythm, along with milestone walk-throughs (framing, MEP rough-in, insulation/drywall, and trim/finishes).
5. Transparent Approvals & Changes
If something needs to shift, you’ll see a written scope, cost, and schedule impact. Work proceeds only after your approval — you remain in control.
6. Handover & Care
We deliver a clean finish, documentation, and a home guide. Then we check back at 6 and 12 months to ensure everything performs as intended.
What a whole-home remodel can include
- Reconfiguration & structural: Removing walls or adding beams; stair relocation; ceiling raises; engineered solutions verified before demo.
- Additions & expansions: Main-level enlargements, second-story additions, new primary suites, or larger kitchens (we coordinate permits/engineering per Lehi guidelines).
- Systems & performance: Electrical panel upgrades and dedicated circuits; plumbing re-routes; right-sized HVAC and ducting; energy-smart insulation and air-sealing.
- Envelope & comfort: Window/door upgrades, exterior cladding tie-ins, weather and drainage detailing tuned to lot conditions.
- Kitchens & baths: Cabinetry, surfaces, fixtures, lighting, and ventilation planned together to avoid rework.
- Flooring & finishes: Durable selections balanced with acoustics and daily use.
- Smart-home ready: Low-voltage pathways, access points, shades, and security pre-planned to avoid retrofits.
Built for Lehi — permits, inspections, and neighborhoods
Permits & inspections you don’t have to chase
We prepare and submit applications via Lehi’s Building & Inspections portal, then coordinate inspections with the city. For projects like basement finishes or additions, we follow the city’s checklists so submittals are complete the first time. You’ll have clarity on what’s approved, what’s scheduled, and what’s next.
Local considerations
- Traverse Mountain: Slopes/wind exposure affect framing, envelope, and site logistics — planned early to minimize disruption.
- Thanksgiving Point & established areas: Attention to access, parking, and neighbor communication during construction.
- HOA/ARC: We can assist with submission packages so exterior changes align with community guidelines.
Codes & licensing — do it right
Lehi adopts and administers building, residential, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire codes to protect life and property; the city staffs certified inspectors to enforce these standards. We keep your remodel compliant and coordinated.
We also encourage clients to verify any contractor’s state license using Utah’s DOPL Licensee Lookup for additional peace of mind.
Real stories from clients who wanted more than just a builder.
What It’s Like to Work with CM Pros
David was correct. Not only did he diagnose the problem but did an amazing job repairing the extensive damage, including a main support post, that wasn’t part of the original project. While most people are waiting months for appliances, sub-contractors, etc. in this horrible supply chain climate he used his network to find everything, and everyone, we needed to get the project done in record time. He took care of literally everything throughout the process. His sub-contractors love working with him and they actually show up 😊 We are enjoying our new beautiful space already with only a few small details to finish up. We’ll be sad to see him go. Not only is he an amazing contractor but really does care about his customers and takes great pride in the quality of work performed. David is a great person all the way around. We’ll hire him again for future projects and highly recommend him. Happy CMP Customer in Sandy, Utah"
We made a couple of changes and added on couple of projects and he adjusted as needed for us. He also had a couple of creative suggestions for us which we appreciated. The crews and sub contractors were professional and dependable and I felt good and did not worry about having them in my home.
Just like others during this time there were supply chain issues and Dave dealt with these issues professionally and communicated with us. Dave is honest, and the work was done the way we expect, I’m picky, and it turned out beautiful.
I would work with Dave again and highly recommend him."
David communicated well throughout the process so that there were no surprises and made himself available to answer any questions or concerns we may have had.
Also, despite the craziness in construction these days with regards to worker and material availability, he was able to get all of the work done as planned (we had a strict deadline).
Overall, after vetting a few contractors out there, we are glad we decided to choose David for our project!"
